Waiting list

How to join the Bathford Allotments waiting list, how plots are offered, and what to do if you cannot get a plot yet.

Most plots are let from a waiting list. When a plot becomes available it is offered to the next suitable person on the list.

How to join

  1. Send us your request. Email allotments@bathford.net to speak to the volunteers, or the Parish Council Clerk at clerk@bathford.net. Let us know the size of plot you would prefer (see Plots).
  2. We let you know when a plot is available. We notify you by email. Bathford residents naturally take priority, and from there the list is worked through by date of application. Some exceptions apply — see the site rules.
  3. Reply within two weeks. Un-let plots take up a lot of volunteer time, so if we don't hear back within two weeks we offer the plot to the next person. You keep your position for future plots, and we'll check you still wish to stay on the list.
Warning If we do not hear back from you for a further two weeks, you will be removed from the waiting list.

If you cannot get a plot

If you do find yourself waiting as a non-Bathford resident, do please consider a BANES Council Allotment, or perhaps even the private allotments run by Roots Allotments nearby.
