Waiting list

Most plots are let from a waiting list. When a plot becomes available it is offered to the next suitable person on the list.

How to join

Send us your request

To join the waiting list, or just to make an enquiry, please email allotments@bathford.net to speak directly with the volunteers, or directly to the Parish Council Clerk clerk@bathford.net.

You can let us know the preference of plot you would like (see Plots).

When a plot becomes available

When a plot becomes available we will notify you by email.

Our allotments site was established for the residents of Bathford, and they naturally take priority, and from then it is worked through by date of application.

There are some exceptions, which can be found in the site rules.

If we don’t hear from you

If we reach out to let you know a plot has become available and we don’t hear back from you within two weeks, we will offer it to the next person on the list.

This is because un-let plots take a lot of volunteer time.

You will retain your position on the list for further plots, but we will contact you again to ensure you still wish to be on the waiting list.

If we do not hear back from you for a further two weeks, you will be removed from the waiting list.

If you cannot get a plot

If you do find yourself waiting as a non-Bathford resident, do please consider a BANES Council Allotment, or perhaps even the private allotments run by Roots Allotments nearby.
