The items put to a vote at the Bathford Allotments Annual General Meeting, 11 May 2024.
1. New warden
Election of a new warden.
2. Vote on rent changes
Current charges:
- Full plot: £33 per year (£24, plus £9 water per plotholder).
- Half plot or less: £21 per year (£12, plus £9 water per plotholder).
Proposed change:
- Full plot: £40 per year (£30, plus £10 water per plot).
- Half plot or less: £20 per year (£15, plus £5 water per space).
3. Vote on regulations — environmental clause 4
Current clause: Only biodegradable ground cover is acceptable. No plastic sheet, carpet, bath tubs, scaffolding poles or building materials are allowed.
Suggested amendment:
- Ground cover: biodegradable preferred. No carpet. Temporary plastic weed-control membrane allowed, but must not be allowed to disintegrate into the ground.
- Scaffolding poles: allowed in moderation; no Postcrete.
- No bath tubs, rubber tyres or building materials are allowed.
