Agenda

  1. Welcome and introduction.
  2. Report from the Parish Council representative: finances; bamboo.
  3. Wardens: progress on projects — restoration of paths and tidying of plots; acquisition of machines; communal plot; pond (stones and plants); plant and seed swap.
  4. Wardens: portaloo.
  5. Wardens: bonfires and flytipping (CCTV?).
  6. Future plans and planned expenditure: paths restoration (digger hire, purchase of topsoil); community shed (applying for a grant).
  7. Vote on regulations — environmental clause 4 (see below).
  8. Competitions: scarecrow (August); best-kept plots (July).
  9. Volunteers: election of a new warden; working parties for specific jobs; committee members; general help email list / WhatsApp group.
  10. Any other business.

Vote on regulations — environmental clause 4

Current clause: Only biodegradable ground cover is acceptable. No plastic sheet, carpet, bath tubs, scaffolding poles or building materials are allowed.

Suggested amendment:

  • Ground cover: biodegradable preferred. No carpet. Temporary plastic weed-control membrane allowed, but must not be allowed to disintegrate into the ground.
  • Scaffolding poles: allowed in moderation; no Postcrete.
  • No bath tubs, rubber tyres or building materials are allowed.
